(Gauging Interest) Friday the 13th: Jason goes to AMV Hell
Hey,
I have ideas for a collaborative video done like AMV hell but focusing on the Friday the 13th film series (or TV Series).
If anyone is interested, submissions do NOT have to be anime.
The only stipulations are
IT must have Audio or Video from the movies (example you can mix Azumanga Daioh video with audio from one of the friday the 13th movies, or vice versa), max length being 1 minute and keep it Rated R (meaning Nudity is allowed)
Who is up for it?
Submissions must be in before March First with a possible release date of March 15th.

I think the idea is very limiting provided people can use this idea and throw the resulting videos in the currently ongoing AMV Hell 5, and the resulting amv would turn out quite boring in comparison. I mean, why Friday the 13th in specific? You could rather hold a project with a theme of "horror movie audio / funny anime footage", it seems to be close enough to your idea and less limiting.
And of course, why set the deadline to 2-3 months from now when you haven't given technical information (how the tracks should be handed in, format, resolution, frame rate) and you don't even have some interested people? You should use this thread as an interest gauge, see if enough people are interested then hold the project normally. There are MEPs here that are nearing their 3rd year anniversary in production (cough) (cough), you probably won't even have that many people interested in it by March unless you have some acquaintances around, which I don't suppose so as I haven't seen you around myself - correct me if I'm wrong.

I'd want them in MPEG format so I can put them in Sony Vegas.
I'd have to think about making it an 80's horror thing, but there are 12 movies (including Freddy Vs Jason), and a TV series that lasted 2 seasons. All that is limiting that the clip must consist of anything related to Friday the 13th.
I for one am working on a clip mixing Friday the 13th (1980) and Azumanga Daioh.
I never expected this to be a long video, 5 minutes at max maybe. I just wanted to test the waters and see if anyone would be interested. I'll run the idea of expanding it to encompass 80's horror with my judges and some other people I know that are interested in the project.

This sounds like an interesting project, mashing up anime with Friday the 13th footage.
I won't be able to join, but I'd like to see if this ever gets off the ground. Nice to see some original projects rather than the constant "album of the week" meps here.
