For whatever reason, the project fell apart at the end. And I was going through old project files and realized it had never gotten put together.
So I was wondering about starting it back up. Anyway, I'd be sticking with the rules from the first video.
The Concept: To make an MEP featuring the strong female characters in anime. I’ve often begun an anime and found myself rolling my eyes at the depiction of a female lead – they tend to be cliché, it’s rare to find a strong, well-rounded lead (or secondary) character in an anime.
What do I mean by cliché? Let’s see…
1. The good-natured schoolgirl whom all the male characters can’t seem to help falling head over heels for. (This accounts for like… 75% of the anime in my collection, it’s downright sickening.)
2.The annoyingly adorable little girl whose only purpose seems to be… being cute.
3. The stone cold bitch fighting her inner demons.
4. The quiet, shy girl who hides in the background.
5. The sexy/evil seductress.
Have you seen an anime in which you felt one of the female characters was particularly engaging and well-rounded? Well, here’s your chance to prove to the AMV world that not all anime women are clichés.
