IS it safe to convert a 620x480 to 720x480 if I decide I do want to put my video into a contest? (I may or may not depending on how well I edit it, I wont if my editing sucks lol).
Or should I edit it in 720x480 and then just convert it down to 620x480 at the end for computer playback?
I am gonna mess around with avisynth for a few more days before I start doing al of my filtering, so hopefully I can have this figured out by then.

Either way is fine. Obviously you can't get those original 80 columns of image data back once you resize down to 640x480, but modern resizing algorithms usually do a good enough job going back to 720x480 that it won't make a noticeable difference.

Re: Avisynth Script Help (for cowboy bebop)
Okay; I think I finally got it to a good stage; its not perfect, but it A LOT better than anything I have had in the past (hell just having all matching resolutions is an upper from my old videos).
first attempt: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/ ... image1.jpg
final video:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/ ... alfree.jpg
for editing anyhow.
Thanks everyone for all the help and being the first people to have helped me out on using avisynth. I plan to practice it over the next month or two while I edit my Cowboy Bebop video in order to get better at using it and hopefully my next videos footage will be even higher than this ones.
Again; thanks for all the help (especially Scintilla), could not have done it without you.
