Dose site package pre install everything for AviSynth?

I recently downloaded AMVapp from the site, and am working on my first amv using an outdated guide. It says that I have to install certain plugins for AviSynth and the like. Do I need to do that, or do such plugin's come pre installed. I'd also appreciate it if anyone can recomend me some up to date refrence material for biginers (key word).

It depends largely on what you want to do, but for the basics? No. AMVapp includes an awful lot of plugins, and I've rarely ever needed to including anything additional.

I've rarely needed to add any additional plug-ins.
