Phantom Videos?
I'm having some trouble with Avisynth 2.5 here...
I ran through the guide for my first script to a tee. I downloaded all the plugins mentioned, did the dvd decrypter, made a d2v file, cleaned it up and everything worked out fine all the way to converting the whole dvd over to avi.
I moved the file over to my secondary hard drive and decrypted the second disc in the series to the same folder as before. After going through all the motions and changing my script a little to reflect the new file Virtual dub cant seem to find or read my file.
I have tried to reinstall everything several times but still no luck.
Do I have to keep all files in the same place, or once its all cleaned and ready for the chopping block can I move it?
Thanks for any helpful ideas in advance.

LoadPlugin("c:\program files\avisynth 2.5\plugins\dgmpegdec121.dll")
LoadPlugin("c:\program files\avisynth 2.5\plugins\decomb521.dll")
mpeg2source(c:\blood\blood2.d2v")
Even before adding any filters the script isnt working.
The only thing that has changed since my first go around is the number two in the source filename.

Nope sorry I posted the script from the wrong folder, both sets of quotes are in the script I'm trying to use.
I'm about to the point of deleting all my ripped files from the first try. Along with the new files again and start from scratch just to see if moving the first one caused the problem.
This is really irritating just to clean up the video. I can rip/edit with pinnacle studio and even export it to any format I want. I can't seem to clean up the video as much as I would like without going through all the avisynth stuff though.
The deinterlace on pinnacle doesnt seem to do much and the color correct takes forever.
If theres a way to bypass dvd decrypter it would be great since I already have about 500gb worth of dv ripped with pinnacle. But I can't seem to get dvd2avi to recognize thoose Vob files.

I can't really help you there without knowing exactly what is in that folder, but .d2v files are extremely sensitive to anything and everything (I like to call them .emo files) so it's best that you create a separate folder for each DVD you extract, and keep everything extremely well-organized. In the future always be prepared so that in the event that you have to remake the .d2v (but unless there was a decryption problem, you shouldn't need to re-rip) you have to take as few detours as possible.
Oh, and it just occurred to me that if one of those reinstalls you mentioned was with a different version of the software, then the .d2v's will in fact be unusable.

And God spoke unto the Chicken, and He said: "Thou shalt crosseth the road", and the Chicken did cross the road, and there was much rejoicing.

Well thanks for the help.
I guess I'll start over from scratch and keep everything where it ends up.
I must have started a downward spiral when I moved the first disc over to the other harddrive.
Time to go clean up the junk in the other half of my computer I guess.
I should be all done and ready to try again in a day or two hehe.

Well I feel like an idiot now.
I wiped everything and reinstalled. Instead of looking at my printout of the old guide, I clicked on it here to find out its a brand new guide with a lot more info.
At leaste I'm up and running again now. Fresh new cleaned out hard drive to fill up again and I'm getting pretty good at crashing vdub already.
Thanks for the help, it turns out my problem was relying on paper instead of windows.

Well now that I'm up and running again.
Has anyone tried to deinterlace the blood+ series?
The disc says all regions and 4:3 progressive but it sure doesn't look it in vdub.
Dgindex says its progressive and telecline wont even touch whats interlaced.
The best results I've had so far are with blendbob but even then its still leaving partial blends all over the place.
The problem is there isnt any pattern to the interlacing it goes from ppiipp to ppppippii then some high motion parts arent interlaced at all when simple lip movements are all woonky.
After trying all the deinterlacing options I could find in the new guide, blendbob seems to work the best. I'm just wondering if anyone has found anything better or at leaste a little more reliable?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
