Vdubb Crashes

Post by Kevmaster » Sun Sep 09, 2007 1:25 pm

So there I ripped my Hellsing ultimate ova3 VOB's and used DGindex to get the .avs files, put it in Virtualdubmod as usual, add my Script:

Code: Select all

fielddeinterlace()
converttoyv12()
crop (10,10,-10,-10)
lanczosresize(912,576)
and wanna save as Huffy, but Vdubbmod always crashes after a few seconds :/

Any Idea how I can fix this?

probably not it but 912 - 576 seems like a pretty funky ratio , is it suppose to be 712

I just got that Idea after I posted and removed it, but it still crashes, so that wasn't the reason.

The Frame size right off the DVD's is 720x576, but I will save the final Video as 848x480 since that's how its supposed to be, but I wanna save it on a higher frame size so I do not have to upscale it later and only have to resize it to a lower frame size. Also there is no problem with the exact Script on hellsing Ultimate OVA 1 and 2 (which I have already ripped and compressed as huffy on my comp) or any Other Anime I ever ripped.

If you've got ffdshow's VFW installed, see if it crashes when you try to use Huffyuv-YV12, which can be accessed through ffdshow's VFW. Otherwise, try adding a ConvertToYUY2() or ConvertToRGB24() - if it's in one of those already, just leave the ConvertToYV12() option out. It may be because the codec is having to internally convert colorspaces and it's causing an error for some reason. Regular Huffy can't use YV12, so it converts it to YUY2 (or if the input is RGB24, it remains RGB24). The YV12 extension of the codec is only available through ffdshow.

I also tried saving the file as normal uncompressed now, but still didn't work, changing the Frame size didn't work either.

did you try with no filters in avisynth - it may be the .d2v is dodgy and you need to re-index.
