Problem with FLCL Ultimate Edition DVDs

Post by Naotaku » Fri Sep 21, 2007 4:05 pm

I just got FLCL Ultimate Edition yesterday, and I ripped it and made a d2v succesfully, I made an avs file :

Code: Select all

MPEG2Source("C:\FLCL.d2v")
Crop(4,0,-4,0)
Lanczos4Resize(720,480)
Telecide()
Decimate()
I tried to IVTC it, and it only works successfully with the D2V above, however, AviSynth does not recognize the full length when I framecast it with VFAPI in Vegas...

I made an m2v with DGIndex, and it recognizes the full length in both VDubMod and Vegas, but when I framecast it, however, in Vegas it skips to the point where editing is impossible... I have gone through several variations of IVTC to see if the problem was with the process, however, this one looks the best, and has no issues except overall length when I use MPEG2Source vs. DirectShowSource(for the m2v)

I don't know what to do, I am framecasting because FLCL is 3 hours long, and I rather separate episodes but the layout of the vobs make it nearly impossible to do so, and although I tried using AviDemux and VDubMod to Re-Encode them, it takes a very long time, and AviDemux corrupts it, and VDubMod always ends up giving me ugly blocks, I have tried lossless, but I don't have half of my hard-drive space for the 50 gb file...

Can't you rip in IFO mode and separate the VOBs by episode?

Yeah, just figured that out, I originally demuxed with stream processing and thought I had all of the show because it was 3 hours total, but I missed EP2 because it didn't recognize that, but I thought it was included because it was 47 minutes but I still don't know why... :/ I know what I'm doing now though...

Actually I'm using file mode and looking at file size, because the vobs will have the corresponding number, it's much easier... However, disc 1 is the only one with full episodes, disc 2 and 3 have the episodes divided into 2 parts each... ;)
