having trouble geting things rooling with avisynth

i have recent purchased a new comp and downloaded the files for amvapp. the directionsd tell me to create new file "color.avs" when i get to the point where is is time to run this on meda player it wont sighting "the procecedure entry point RunDllW could not be located in the dynamic link libary msdxm.ocx" this also comes up in testing for any thing that is to be run on meda player.
