VirtualDub won't load my AviSynth scripts?

No matter what I put in my AVISynth script, it says error loading line one of the script, even if it's just the link to the file.

Example:
LoadPlugin("C:\Program Files\AviSynth2.5\plugins\MPEG2Dec3.dll")
LoadPlugin("C:\Program Files\AviSynth2.5\plugins\Decomb521.dll")
MPEG2Source("C:\28weeks.d2v")
Telecide(order=1, guide=1, post=4)
Decimate(quality=3)

you are making requests without telling it what to do with them!

.. what you have done is:
1) get in car.
2) close door.
3) put car in drive.
4) step on gas to hit road sign.

.. what you forgot were some minor things .. like:
get the car keys.
goto car. ( open garage door if necessary )
unlock the door to the car.
start your engine.
put in reverse to back-out of garage .. .. .. ..

Hmm well I copied it from vic007's guide pretty much exactly how he has it. I also did the same thing before my HD crashed and it worked fine. ??

Also I'm really not interested in doing anything besides getting the video into virtualdub, is the whole .d2v process even neccessary?

I DL'd the exact version of all the programs/codecs he named ;_;

did you try skipping the LoadPlugin lines and just start it off with the MPEG2Source line?

yup. I've tried it with the loadmpeg2 as the only thing in the script as well.

Wait, wait. If you have amvapp, you shouldn't need to load anything.
