Fields and Frames Help Needed (Girls High DVD Has a Quirk)

Post by Side Swipe » Fri Feb 29, 2008 10:43 pm

Ok I Have the Girls High Dvd's and I'm looking to use the clean closing which it 1:29 long but in dvd shrink it lists as 2:58 and in Dvd Decrypter it lists 2 PGC's under the VTS bothe are 1:29 and they appear to be the footage i want but I think that t one is meant to be the top field and the other the bottom field of a single frame whan i play the footage from the menu in a dvd player it comes up full screen however when i play the vob from the decript its like hardcore letterboxing thats why i suspect the field frame problem.

My question is does anyone know how to merge the two of these together so I have normal footage clips coming out of virtualdubmod. I wasnt sure it this was the right place to ask this. It seemed to me to be an encoding question... Is this something that can be done in AVISynth

Multiple angles? Some DVDs have a textless Op/Ed on one angle, and the regular on the other. Try smartripper.

if its a multiple angle issue you can fix it in DVD decyptor by go into IFO mode and choose an angle from there.
