Where exactly is the Adobe Premiere plugins directory? I tried searching for it on my computer but all that turns up is the Premiere AVS plugin folder. So I tried saving it there. Afterwards, another problem popped up during the FFDShow installation.

ffdshow-20050112
Error opening file for writing:
C:/Program Files/ffdshow/ffdshow.ax
Click abort to stop the installation,
Retry to try again, or
Ignore to skip this file.

Abort = Retry = Ignore

Go to whatever directory you installed Adobe Premiere to; it should contain a subdirectory called "Plug-ins".

That probably means you've got an instance of ffdshow running. Close all your media players and try again. If you didn't have any media players open, then reboot and try again; that should guarantee that the file won't be in use.

I still haven't been able to fix this problem. And also, I can load an avi avs into Virtual dub alright, but there's no sound and there sound be. I actually do want the sound there in this case.

Ok. I don't know what I did wrong, but I can't run .avs files in windows media player. I keep getting an error message that says "Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file." Can anyone help me with this? I was told that the file should show up in the folder when I have .avi selected under file types, but it doesn't show unless I have it on either a text file type or All Files. I followed the installation instructions for the AMVApp exactly, selecting the file associations as suggested and what-not. Please help me. I'm at a loss as to what to do about this.

That's funny; they've never shown up on .AVI lists for me.

Anyway, first try opening the AVISynth file in VirtualDub(/Mod). (Open it normally; don't use the "open via AVISynth" option.) If that fails, then you don't have AVISynth itself installed correctly; uninstall (if possible), reboot, and try installing again.

If it opens correctly in VDub, then you may have a colorspace issue (for example, script outputting YV12 video and no codec installed to play back raw YV12). In that case, post your script.
