You're right: doing things wrong doesn't make you have to go back and fix them. You can make them wrong, and leave them wrong.

You win.

You are incapable of distinguishing between wrong and not your way.

Or you're just wrong and won't admit it. Won't you stop this shit? Accept that you're wrong and move on before I need to unlazy and start ripping you a new one for entertainment and to prove a stupid point. Stop being wrong already.

Am I?
The Dictionary wrote:wrong   [rawng, rong] /rɔŋ, rɒŋ/ –adjective
1. not in accordance with what is morally right or good: a wrong deed.
2. deviating from truth or fact; erroneous: a wrong answer.
3. not correct in action, judgment, opinion, method, etc., as a person; in error: You are wrong to blame him.
4. not proper or usual; not in accordance with requirements or recommended practice: the wrong way to hold a golf club.
5. out of order; awry; amiss: Something is wrong with the machine.
6. not suitable or appropriate: He always says the wrong thing.
7. (of clothing) that should be worn or kept inward or under: You're wearing the sweater wrong side out.
I would argue you are actually also falling under 2, 3, and 6, but 4 is enough for the adjective to be accurate.

For the Topic Creator:

Please do not listen to the bad advice Cyrix has heaped onto this thread. I consider myself a new editor, and I had no prior experience ripping dvds or doing any sort of video creation before I read the guide in the second post of this thread. It is really a very intuitive process, and not at all difficult to learn. I know I don't do everything perfectly, at least not yet, but trying my best I have learned how to do things really well in a short amount of time. I haven't released anything yet for various reasons, but a few people here have seen my techniques improve and they can attest that it doesn't take long at all to learn and become comfortable with doing things in a very high quality way.

Mister Hatt is really blunt with everything he says, but when it comes to this stuff he's (effectively) always right; he just assumes you're intelligent enough to understand what he's saying and that you understand at least the very basics (as in, you read the AVTech guide). Mirkosp is also a great source of knowledge with this stuff. These are good examples of people you can take advice from. Cyrix is not.

I don't claim to have the knowledge of the more experienced editors here, but I'll be damned if I do something poorly when I know I can do it well, regardless of whether I am new or not. If you have any questions, I would be more than happy to help out to my best ability.

Welcome to the Org. We really are kind and helpful.

If your DVD is interlaced and that bugs you, or you think DVD is crap quality, then use AVI synth. If DVD quality is good enough for you, you can do it my way. It's not terrible advice. Nothing is stopping you from learning AVI synth at any point in the future.
