So I have this massive VOB

Post by OzzieAlThor79 » Tue Jan 30, 2007 9:01 pm

I run everything through DGI Index and get an AviSynth script and everything.

Challenge: I load said script into Virtual Dub Mod... and there's MAYBE a quarter of the footage that is there when I run the VOB through DGIndex.

Is there a setting that's stopping me from seeing the whole thing?

Thanks!

Did you get a weird error message when you loaded the script into VDubMod, something that ended with a phrase like "seeking may not work correctly"? This has happened to me before, and from what I can tell it has to do with the chapters you process through DGIndex. If this is the problem, try re-ripping the DVD, or loading a different combination of chapters into DGIndex, or both.

I would.

The key here is I like to run something through AVISynth without any extra script first.

This is happening WITHOUT *any* extra script being used.

What happens when you load it into VDubMod directly from said program's gui?

I don't remember anything about "gui" files in the Technical guide. (I'd double check it but I am at work at the very moment)

What do you mean?

As a point of reference, I originally ripped a 450k VOB from the same dvd, made a d2v file using DGIndex, had that run in VDM and it worked perfectly. I made a massive AVI file (with about 15 seconds total of the footage I wanted from it) and I was good to go.

This new VOB is over 1,000k (on windows it registers it at JUST under 1 gig).

Should that matter?

Again, I am trying to run it without ANY extra script and it still only has aout 5-7 minutes of the footage (when this should basically have around 22 minutes of footage). It ran fine and thee was no missing data when I put it into DGIndex.

The said DVD is Utena: The Rose collection, Volume 1. I'm trying to see the whole first episode (Which is what the said VOB is)

The way it looks on VDM.

GUI stands for General User Interface.

Not sure what you mean still.

Are you asking whether it looks right in VDM? Because it looks just fine. It simply stops at a ceratin point.

I can give you a screenshot of where it stops I guess, if that's what you're looking for.

I apologize for being confusing if I am. I just don't know how to show you a screenshot of VDM not loading an entire VOB... when not giving me an error AND me not using any scripts at ALL.
