Interlacing issues

Post by Toshi.des » Thu Sep 06, 2007 2:21 am

I opened my source in virtual dub by writing a script in notepad and saving it as .avs.

I wrote:
DirectShowSource("location of video")
telecide(order=1,post=2,blend=true,vthresh=30,back=1)

and used Huffyuv v2.1.1 - CCESP Patch v0.2.5 as the compressor and then saved my video to the desktop.

it came out like this:

Though after editing it in premiere 2.0 and saving it, it came out like this:

Did I do something wrong?

Oh yeah I cropped it and added 50% black and white filter on it, I'm just wondering why it seems like there's interlacing.

Also this was viewed and the snap shot was taken in media player classic. In media player 11 the interlacing isn't that noticeable but still there.

Now that a look at it i can't seem to use huffyuv as my compressor.

and I believe I installed the plugins from amvapp correct but not sure, this is what's in the plugins folder:

Is there another way to get premiere to recognize huffyuv?

Did you really set "Microsoft AVI" under "General"? It looks like it's set to "DV-AVI" (or something the like)

was the frame resolution the same for the file in, and file out? for instance, resizing 1280x768--> 640x360 doesn't always work well.

No it wasn't the same but after changing my export settings to no fields it's seemed to have fix it.

Thanks for your help guys.
