Problem importing .d2v files

Post by Emotive » Sat Oct 27, 2007 4:16 am

VirtualDub Error wrote:Avisynth open failure:
MPEG2Source: couldn't open file

MPEG2Dec3dg.dll is where it should be (I think):
D:\Program Files\AMVapp\Avisynth Filters\Documentation

The d2v should be allright.

Help?

I can't even do it in a round-away way this time.. (can't open the .vob files with directshowsource: Virtualdub doesn't find a video stream. DGindex found it allright when making the .d2v though..)

It is.
That's the .avs of the .d2v.

And so I uninstalled the old amvapp and installed the new amvapp beta.
And now no matter how many times I click on VirtualDub, it seems like I didn't click at all.
It won't open.

you are using dvd2avi right?
if you indexed with DGindex then you need to be using dgdecode.dll

another thing that I ran into some time ago was having redundant filters in the plugins directory. So go through and make sure you only have 1 copy of masktools.dll in there (you can have mt_masktools.dll as well...just not 2 masktools.dll. Renaming won't help you here)

I just had to do a system restore for Virtualdub to start working again and everything's messed up.
I only have masktools.dll once.
And yes, I indexed with DGindex - what do you mean I should be using dgdecode.dll? It is in my avisynth plugins directory.

AviSynth plugins need to be in AviSynth's plugins directory, usually
C:\Program Files\AviSynth 2.5\plugins

But considering I don't know what the AMVapp does in regards to that, I can't say. I stopped using the AMVapp long long ago, but as far as I can remember, it still installed AviSynth to the normal AviSynth 2.5 directory and put the filters in the regular plugins directory like they should be.

MPEG2Dec3DG.dll is not meant to be used with DGIndex. If you use DGIndex, use DGDecode.dll and delete the other one.

:!: Thanks a whole lot, I deleted MPEG2Dec3DG.dll and it just worked..
