.mpq files in vdub/avs?

Post by prYzm » Wed Nov 28, 2007 5:24 pm

ok ive got a set of .mpq files from one of my games (a gmv hurrah hurrah). the mpq's are essentially my 'base footage' so its not specifically necessary to rip them or w/e but im not sure how to import them into vdub/avs. the files play fine in CCCP or VLC, but when i load it up in vdub it just remains black =(. anyone know how to get vdub to read .mpq files?

or failing that, is there another method i should use to convert them into a format for vegas?

i should note, i get this message when i try to open .mpq files
One of the video codecs installed in the system modified the video format passed to it by VirtualDub. This indicates a codec bug that may cause the Windows video codec system to malfunction.

There is your problem j/k

Hmm..did you open it via .avs "Directshowsource()" in Vdub??
The other thing I would try is to reinstall CCCP ----> That's what I would do
To note: I'm not good with codecs :O
