All right so, as the subject suggests, I'm having some vicious trouble with virtualdubmod. Currently, I'm having two problems for two seperate videos. On the first, for some reason, virtualdubmod simply will not save an avisynth file. I've followed the guide exactly and it has worked for other videos, but for some reason, whenever I load this video and try to save, virtualdubmod spontaneously commits suicide and just disappears. I've tried everything to figure out what's going on, but I'm coming up empty.
My second problem is an audio problem. With this second video, I got all the way through to the first pass, doing everything exactly as the guide said, and yet for some reason, my audio comes up blank. Even the audio file I created seperately from the AMV itself comes up blank (and it's not my computer; I checked on that).
This there something I'm doing very, very wrong here?

Virtualdub may be closing if you have more than one version of a plugin in avisynth's plugins directory.
(ie. masktools1.5.8 and masktools1.5.1)
go through the plugins folder (usually C:/program files/avisynth2.5/plugins)
and check for anything like that. If you aren't sure, take everything out of the plugins folder and see if it works (then replace the plugins one by one)
for the audio, are you loading that into vdub/mod as well?
you have to add it as a stream on the second pass (if you're doing a two-pass)
