DVD Ripping problem - resolution

DVD Ripping problem - resolution
While I was ripping a DVD I noticed that when I open the video the footage is smaller. It should be screen, full... I hope you understand what I mean (my brain is currently very very tired to be able to think)... When I open the DVD and watch the episodes from it it's all ok but when I rip it, I get something smaller which makes the quality suck. The other DVDs ripped correctly, but this one just doesn't work, i ripped it several times and it's the same story. Any ideas on what I should do? Thanks in advance!
