This might be a stupid question, but that's never stopped me before.
I rip a VOB file from a DVD, and make a d2v file and corresponding avs file, check the field order for de-interlacing and such, and go about my editing business. Now, if that VOB file gets erased and I have to re-rip it, will the field order always be the same if I rip the exact same chapter? Do I have to check it again? Because it's time consuming and a little annoying. I suspect it would be, but I've been wrong before.
Thanks in advance for any assistance.

thanks. I thought as much.
I recall seeing slightly more top field than bottom field in my DVDs for some reason (R1 dvds, too), though I have examples of both, so I guess the flipping happens pretty frequently. I did once have a dvd with different field orders in different chapters (in the same episode no less) so I always check in any case. But nice to know I only need to do that once!
