VOBs and mpeg-2 streamclip component error

Post by KenshinsongX » Thu Mar 13, 2008 10:20 pm

I've been using this guide that was recommended to me by another member on this site: http://www.ishtori.net/index.php?id=15

The problem is that I get an error when I load my VOBs into mpeg streamclip. It says I can't playback or convert files until I purchase the "mpeg-2 playback component".

The footage is the 2006 release of dragonball z season 2. It's 16:9 NTSC 23.976fps. Dunno if any of that helps but I thought I'd throw it in there just in case.

Thanks for any help!

I've never used a Mac before but from what I read here you actually need to buy an add on for Quick time in order to be able to export to mpg2...

I don't know if you have an alternative though, such as another mpg2 codec, maybe a mac user could point you to the right direction.
