Do you need Media Player 6.4 for AVIsynth?
It's either that or Vista doing something, either way AVIsynth isn't working on Media Player 10. I says it cannot read the file.
Help would be much appreciated.

It sounds like a Vista problem to me. Avs scripts work fine for me in WMP 11 (though I use classic anyway). From what I remember in that lengthy guide, the ASPI layers are needed to properly rip the DVD, so I don't know why that would affect AviSynth (but then, I don't claim to know everything about ASPI layers...I had never even heard of them before I read that guide). It does sound like Vista is just being pissy as usual, though. I might suggest trying the VLC player as well. It's just an all around better player than anything Microsoft can put out.
Sorry I can't be of any real help, but I refuse to even touch Vista. Hopefully someone who can help will wander by soon. And I'll continue to mull it over as well...
Oh, and for the record, you can't edit your posts on this site, so don't feel bad about that.
