VDubMod Error

Post by Cheesethief » Tue Apr 01, 2008 9:37 am

Okay, so my third time around, I'm trying to follow AbsoluteDestiny's guide a little better than my last few times. I ripped to .d2v format, converted to .avs with AVISynth and VDubMod to remove interlacing, and converted back to .avi with ffdshow so my editor can access the files (I'm using Sony Vegas). I've followed the guide as best I can, and accordingly, it's suggested that I double-check the .avi in VDubMod. As of right now, I'm getting this error message:

The decompression codec can not decompress to a RGB format. This is very unusual. Check that any "Force YUY2" options are not enabled in the codec's properties."

I went back to ffdshow and checked all my options. There is an option for me to "Force Output Colorspace" with the option to select several formats (including YUY2), but I took AbsoluteDestiny's advice and left that one unselected. The movie I'm editing is the original Ghost in the Shell; do I need to select "RGB32" from "Force Output Colorspace"? (RGB32 is what I used in the AVISynth script code).
