New Premiere/AE Avisynth plugin, need testers
Hello! I've been working on a revised Avisynth import plugin for the last couple weeks after I noticed the old one didn't work with Premiere CS4. It's essentially done (still need to make an installer), but I'd like to have some people test it on various setups.
The new plugin supports the version 8 import interface, so it should work (in theory) with Premiere/AE/Soundbooth CS2/CS3/CS4. So far I've tested it with Premiere CS3/CS4 and AE CS3/CS4 on XP/XP64, and it seems solid. CS1/1.5 support shouldn't be hard to add (version 7 import interface), but I'd like to get the current feature set fairly rock solid before adding anything else.
If you have any of the above programs and wouldn't mind helping me do some testing, please send me a PM.

Woot, installer and GUI are done now as well, plus I confirmed it does work with Soundbooth CS3/CS4.

What OS's does it work for or are there any it don't work for?
"The people cannot be [...] always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to [...] the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to public liberty. What country can preserve its liberties, if it's rulers are not warned [...] that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants."-Thomas Jefferson

I've only tried it with WinXP and WinXP 64. I don't know of any reason that it wouldn't with Win2K or Vista, though.

Not working. I've got a DirectShowSource AVS script that is loading perfectly fine in VDub, does not want to load up whatsoever in Premiere or AE (CS4) in XP.

Should also mention that AVS is not loading into the File Format list when you're on the Import screen (not that I know if it's supposed to or not. I would hope so. Otherwise you'll have to choose All Files every time you want to import an AVS)

Re: New Premiere/AE Avisynth plugin, need testers
I was able to recreate the problem. It's weird, since if I fiddle with a few things, it works, but then if I put everything back the way it was when it seemed broken, it STILL continues to work. That sort of explains why I didn't notice the problem at first.
So I'm not sure which thing I'm changing that's making it fix itself. I'll experiment a bit and put up a newer version later.
Yeah, it should show up in the file type list. If it doesn't, it means Prem/AE/whatever rejected the plugin for whatever reason.
One question: Do you have the old AVS Plugin installed? I think it might be related to what's happening, but definately not the only thing since I saw the same problem on a freshly installed computer a couple days ago.

I purposefully did not install the old plug-in since I knew I was going to be trying this one.
