Hi, I'm fairly new to ripping DVD footage, and am having an issue with newly acquired My-Hime Region 1 DVDs. I am unable to remove certain coloring artifacts past a certain point as shown here:
I have been struggling against this for some time and have tried most things recced in the AMV guides available on the main website. I have admittedly not waded through a significant amount of plugin documentation as I did not feel I had enough technical knowledge about video to understand the significance of most of the plugins available through AMVApp. The above screenshot is the result of using no other command besides AMVIVTC(mode=1). Modifications to this and attempts at using other guides(specifically the older VicBond007 guide I had used long long ago to rip Takeshi Kaneshiro movies for those sorts of fanvids)/commands have yielded no change or worsened the artifact. I hope for some guidance for this since I am loathe to have to reencode/use my ancient XviD fansubtitled footage from when the series just came out.
Please note that while I've admitted to little video knowledge, I'd be happy to read documentation provided someone points me to the right things to use.

looks like chroma ghosting to me, here are some threads that may help (especially the second one):
