How do i get rid of lines on my videos?

Post by Artisan_Kirei » Thu Jan 07, 2010 7:41 am

I'm using Magix Movie Edit Pro 10 for my amvs and when I exort them as MPGs they end up with lines running through them. I've noticed I don't get thisproblem when I export tem as AVIs but then they come out in small chunks instead of one complete video. Could someone please tell me how I get rid of the lines as they really are spoiling the quality of my amvs :(

Thanks

Can you take a screenshot of how these "lines" look like? Also I think I may have read that incorrectly but when you export your video in avi format, does it get seperated in to smaller files or something?

Sure, sorry I suck at technical terminology so I just said 'lines' because that's sort of how it looks to me. It's sort of rippley when you look at it again...

And no, you read right. I exported an AVI an it came out as 5 seperate short AVIs. It doesn't do that all the time though.. just when the video is a larger format (by the looks of things).

I can't really tell because the picture is small but it looks like interlacing to me. It's usually a good idea to deinterlace your footage before you edit with it. This should help you with deinterlacing your footage. You might also want to read the rest of the guide for help with improving your visual quality and all that.

Also I don't know how Magix works but its seems like the program is segmenting your footage because its too big. There is probably a checkbox or something in the export menu or options that should disable this.

im having the same issue, gosh i thought getting into AMV creation would be easy ( mixing music with anime) but the technicle aspects are so complicated. i see the guide tells you how to fix interlacing in an already edited piece. im only 20 seconds into making my amv and i have been doing test renders to try and get the best quality/ size ratio and rendering in divx is low quality but no visible lines, and when i render in 720p avi i get great quality but those lines are there and huge like maybe 18 lines going across the length.

so how do i edit the source to not have interlacing issues?
