after effects..HElp!!

excused I have as soon as unloaded adobe after effects 6.5.ma I do not know like saving the video, like making of the effects specials..e as to perfectly cut the images of the scenes of the video..beh you can help to understand the structure me of this programme?*__* please!

PS:
case never me the fairies to understand with of the images why they are hard xD

In after effect to load the video you need make a new composition

just go to composition and click new composition

to apply the special effect to the video source (or picture or whatever you're using)

put your source in time line and choose the effect you like in the effect and preset window on your right then apply it to your source

to cut the video just press ctrl + shift + d

or go to edit and choose split layer
