Adobe prob. continuation
After converting my .mkv files to .avi files it was awsome thanks to the help of Rapture** and Kariudo. Then I import it to adobe premiere to edit it but what happens is this
Normal Pic (through media classic player) its flawless
Not Normal Pic (after adobe premiere compile)
Notice that the up and bottom cinema scope is gone and theres a bit pixelated portion of the avi. How can I solve/reconfigure adobe premiere to accept the original resolution/clarity of the video. ?
Thanks again guys

that looks like the result of having premiere do some resizing of your footage.
unfortunately, there isn't much you can do once you've started a project (premiere doesn't let you change resolution, framerate, aspect ratio, etc...) so you'll have to start a new project to resolve this problem.
to help set up your project so this doesn't happen, I'll need to know the resolution and the PAR (Pixel Aspect Ratio) of your video
gspot can help you get this information, click the pic in my sig to get it

Right-click the clip in the clip library and select "Interpret Footage", then force to square pixels (1:1 or 1.0) if it's not that way already.
Also be sure that your field order is set to Progressive (No Fields) in both project and export settings.
If this was Premiere 6.5 or older, I'd suggest turning off "Deinterlace when speed is below 100%" on all your clips, but you're using Premiere Pro 2, right?

And one more thing - if you're just starting with Premiere Pro, I would suggest editing with 640x480 instead of 720x480,because most starters are confused by Aspect Ratios.Scintilla wrote:Right-click the clip in the clip library and select "Interpret Footage", then force to square pixels (1:1 or 1.0) if it's not that way already.

That's because you're exporting as Uncompressed RGB. Try out lossless codecs. My suggestion would be Lagarith.Vo!D wrote:and bro about virtualdub is it always like that when converting it to AVI format its big in filesize? a 4min video after being converted it became 4gig at least.
Hmm.. Maybe post a screenshot of your project settings, the problem may be in your settings.Vo!D wrote:Tried using 1:0 ratio the result was the same
