Using Photoshop with Sony Vegas?

Hey everyone i was just wondering what effects i could create by combining Photoshop with Sony Vegas.

What do you need photoshop for that you can't already do in vegas with its large amounts of effects?

photoshop is good for simplifying effects in vegas that would be more difficult to do in vegas itself.

Such as cutting out the background of a can of tuna to make it transparent, rather than attempting to mask it in the masking tool or making a rainbow follow Haruhi's finger as she twirls in a circle, or 3 frame lipsync stills.
