\I have been wanting to make a Romeo x Juliet AMV. I have downloaded all of the raws, so I don't have to deal with subtitles marring my footage (as no DVD footage is available). But, every time I move one of the AVI files into Premiere Elements to edit it, when the video plays, it is jumpy and it looks as if frames of motion are missing. This is even in the clip editing window. I'm not really sure why or what to do because I am a noob.
Has this happened to anyone? How did you fix it?
Problems with AVI raws in Premiere Elements.

Domo Arigatou!
Thanks a lot!
I had no idea that could cause problems! I told you I was a noob, lol.

If you want to use AVI files, encode them using the Lagarith Lossless Codec. That's pretty much the only reliable AVI encoder for Premiere Elements -- everything else doesn't cut it, either in type of file or in quality.
For both space and quality, even though it's a bit more work, I'd pretty much recommend using AVS scripts directly instead. The guides show you how to make D2V and AVS files using DGIndex, and the AMVApp comes with the Premiere plug-in you need to have Premiere Elements recognize and use AVS scripts.
