Premiere Elements doesn't recognise my clips

Post by DragonNinjaYuffie » Thu Nov 15, 2007 3:13 pm

Ok, I was doing this project, and it was going fine. Recently, this one clip came up, which when I imported it in, came up as an audio file, even though it was a movie. Both VirtualDubMod and Media Player Classic recognised it as a video, so it was strange. I ended up encoding it as Uncompressed, and importing it in: that worked, I saved the project and exited it.

Then, when I came to open the project the next day, it said it couldn't open it, because it ran out of memory. I managed to load up the most recent autosave, and I rendered the entire project. Then, something really strange happened. Nearly all the clips in the second half of the video were recognised as Audio files. Even though they were all in exactly the same codec as the other clips. VDMod, MPC and WMP recognised them as video files though.

What the hell is going on?

All the clips are encoded in Lagarith.
