Premiere CS3 - Loss of effects

Post by Rinny » Sun Jan 20, 2008 12:42 am

I'm fairly knew to this version of the program, but this has happened to me twice already in different projects. I leave the file alone for about a week, and when I open it up again, none of my applied filters appear. This includes transitions and motion settings. According to the timeline the effects are there, they just don't show up when I preview -or- when I export. Some of my clips are also appearing as offline, but only on the timeline--not in the project window. I can fix it, but if I save and reopen the project it's right back the way I left it.

I really need to figure this one out. Has this happened to anyone else before?

To clarify--if I save and reopen the project, any clips I fixed are broken again.

How are your clips encoded / imported? Could be a variety of things - more information would help a bunch.

I actually found that a lot of people have had this issue, and I solved it by moving my entire timeline and rerendering...but I believe one of my projects has divx clips, while the other has huffyuv.
