Try deleting your preferences or reinstalling Premiere possibly?

Do you remember any new software or something you may have installed that day to cause Premiere to start instantly closing?

That's my last resort. My copy of Premiere is from a friend's disk so I'd have to wait till she can visit again.

No new software. It just suddenly decided to start dying. And it's only that project file that does it. But I don't think the project file is corrupt cause I sent it to a friend and it opened fine for him.

Well I believe you can delete your preferences without reinstalling Premiere. It will just generate a default set of preferences then.

Otherwise have your friend re-save the file and send it back to you. Maybe that will fix it? Is your Premiere fully updated on patches as well? (Not that Premiere isn't buggy enough on it's own hehe)
