Post by couNti » Tue Jan 06, 2009 12:22 pm

I d/l the trial for AE CS4, but everytime I get a opengl error. I've checked and I can't seem to find the problem.

Disable the opengl. Go to Edit > Preferences > Previews and uncheck "Enable OpenGL" checkbox. Click ok and you're done. :P

With it disabled will I see any dramatic decrease in performance? The picture becomes very blocky with opengl turned off.

Well, opengl helps with the preview, but once you actually render out of ae, there won't be any difference. Between ae crashing and ae having a bad-looking preview, the latter choice is better.
