"Cleaning up" a video with AE
I've heard/seen a couple people mention cleaning up a video quality-wise in After Effects, but I wasn't sure what it was they were talking about. Can someone enlighten me? (Or point me to the correct thread witha whap on the back of the head for stupidity if there already is one such and I just missed it in my search)

as far as cleaning up grain, random artifacts, ect, use avisynth as he said.
your friend may have been talking about stamping unwanted items out of the video, or color correction. both which can be done in after effects.
alot of people use avisynth for color correction too. i prefer having more of a visual aid like i would in after effects, premiere, ect.
