ok, i'm an idiot, i had been searching around the DV NTSC folder by accident, i should have gone custom instead, anyway, i resolved some of the problem, there is still a bit of macroblocking but i think that is because of the Xvid encoding, all of the DivX are fine, i did the no fields selection and am checking the difference between Huffy and Lagarith now to see which produces better results. I dont think i'll completely get rid of that macroblocking simply because it's a result of the source material but at least my amv wont look entierly horrible now

I'm suprised that divx/xvid is working at all (unless you imported an avisynth script...then I wouldn't be suprised)

you should really make small clips in vdubmod and encode those with a lossless codec like lagarith.

divx/xvid != editing codec
(not equal)^
