Adobe Premier Pro V 2 Basics

Post by Drake264 » Thu Apr 12, 2007 1:48 pm

Alright, I just got Adobe Premiere Pro yetserday and I'm just learning how to use it. I'd like some people to help me with some of the basics. I mean importing my vids into pro to play around with is easy. But for some reason I don't know how to cut the video into clips. I only used Video Vegas and Windows Movie Maker before now. So someone please help me out.

To cut your clips use the Razor tool located at the far right I think. There is a beginners guide somewhere in this forum for adobe premier 6, most of it is still relevant to adobe premiere so its worth taking look.

You can also cut clips by using the Source Monitor and setting in and out points and then dragging the trimmed clip into the timeline.
