Premiere won't import my lagarith files

I have various Divx, Xvid and H264 video files. I am loading them into VirtualDub, making clips and exporting to Lagarith Lossless Codec files.

Unfortunately, Premiere won't import them! It doesn't give me an error, it just sits at the "Importing Files..." screen forever.

Anyone have any ideas? I'm so frustrated right now.

Is it any particular file, or any? Does virtualdub open them?

import 1 file at a time so you can see if one or all are causing the poblem
