New Adobe Software Out! CS3!
March 27th at 3:30 in New York Adobe launched it's new line of CS3 products.
http://www.adobe.com/products/creativesuite/
Most sources agree that most products will be shipped in Mid-April (About the 20th-ish) The Suites hold many programs, including Adobe Premiere Pro CS3, Photoshop, Photoshop Extended, and After Effects.
New Features inclue 3D modeling in Photoshop Extended, and many add ons and fixes to After Effects and Premiere Pro.
That includes Premiere able to use a lot more formats. Remember those pesky formats the other premieres hated? I think they'll all be fixed a bit. n_n!
Master Suite, from which I looked up, was over Two-Thousand dollars. Ouch... But that includes every program from Adobe.
Shall look around more but this is getting me excited. Specially Photoshop Extended! They break through 3D FINALLY!
-PS: Wasn't sure exactly where to put this but I figured this be the best place, if not, please don't hesitate to move this thread somewhere else...

Didn't Adobe just release some of these things just a couple years ago like Premiere Pro 2 and After Effects 7. I seriously don't see why software companies release stuff like this. I'm happily content with Premiere 6.5 and After Effects 6.5, hell... for Photoshopping I use Photoshop Elements 2.0 (up to 5.0 last I checked) and they all do what I want. And the prices are just.... god. I agree with Szwagier that I doubt there will be a mad rush. Except for those poor noobs who can't get those older programs. Sad.... so sad...

From the perspective of a graphics/video professional, it makes perfect sense for Adobe to continue releasing newer improved versions. Designers constantly are looking for the newest improved streamlined software to make their jobs easier and faster. I for one am very excited to try out the new versions of Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, and AE.

The original version of Adobe Premiere Pro was released in 2003; two major version numbers in four years doesn't seem unreasonable to me.Krisqo wrote:Didn't Adobe just release some of these things just a couple years ago like Premiere Pro 2 and After Effects 7. I dunno, I've never been one to like how companies throw out version this and version this when it seems like they just made one. Maybe it's my inner penny pincher or just the fact that I can't figure out how to upgrade my AE6.5 standard to anything else. But I must digress... ADOBE PHOTOSHOP ELEMENTS 2.0 PAWNS ALL!!!
