Adobe Premier Pro - Exporting Codecs
Can someone tell me how to get Adobe Premiere Pro 1.0 to export in codecs other than the default? (i.e. HuffYUV or Lagarith)

First you need to be sure you have the codecs installed. Then make sure you have it set for Microsoft AVI. When you go to save, click on SETTINGS in the emport movie dialog box. Click on VIDEO then use the Compressor drop down menu and select the codec you want. Hit okay and save the movie as normal.

I don't know if 1.0 is different, but I have never managed to export out of premiere pro 1.5 with anything besides lagarith, huffyuv, and just uncompressed. Except for maybe for stuff like cinepak.

Maybe you don't have the encoder part of the codec installed? If you are using ffdshow for example then you are only decoding. Further more if you are using a codec pack (which I do not recommend) maybe you did not select the encoding option for the specific codec.I don't know if 1.0 is different, but I have never managed to export out of premiere pro 1.5 with anything besides lagarith, huffyuv, and just uncompressed. But none the less why would anyone want to export in something other than uncompressed (ok HuffYUV and Lagarith too)?

x2 - it's a safe bet.Zarxrax wrote:I've never been able to export out of Premiere Pro with Huffyuv or Lagarith without it corrupting the video. I recommend uncompressed.
