Adobe Premiere Pro 2 audio problem
I'm having trouble with Adobe Premiere Pro 2...
I managed to make about ONE AMV before this problem accured.
The audio won't work.
I've imported the mp3 file that I want to use, but there is no sound while editing, though, the finished movie has sound.... oO This is a problem, since I can't make a video, without hearing the music.
Can someone tell me why?

Also wait for it to conform the audio file (though it shouldn't take long either way). Until Premiere Pro has created a fat 1/2 gigabyte conformed audio file for every lousy 2-second sound effect you import, it will refuse to play back the audio.

The strange thing is that the program indicates that it's playing the music.
This is how it looks:

So, the program is playing the music, but I can't hear anything... >__<

If that were the case, the green bars wouldn't be going up and down, I think. He could have done a really big negative gain, though, which has the same result but still counts as playing.Sereenie wrote:Did you maybe mute the track without realising it?
S.
Start with the basic troubleshooting, then. Are your speaskers working normally with other programs? Did you do any volume control at all?
If all else fails, delete he "Conformed Audio Files" folder and re-import the source files (remember to use uncompressed WAV as per Sereenie's previous instruction).

I'm having the exact same problem, i can import a song but it wont produce any sound, it says it is but its not, it works in WMM and its only 128kbps bit rate. How would i uncompress it?
Right after i get the codecs sorted out and everything runs as smooth as ever, my sound fails! I can do without sound on the imported clips but not the entire thing.

You'll want the WAVs as mentioned before. The ideal solution is to use WAVs ripped directly from a CD, but if you must convert from the MP3s, then use either BeSweet or dBpowerAMP. I reccomend the latter for starters because it's a heck of a lot easier to use.
If you choose to use BeSweet, remember to download the GUI. If you didn't need it, then you'd know more than I do and wouldn't have asked how to make WAVs

piggybacking a question (since i asked it on the audio help forums about 5 or 6 months ago and never got a responce) Is there a version of BeSweet that works with 64-bit windows? The one in the AMVapp will not run on XP x64 - i assume that means it won't work with Vista either.
