Adobe Premiere Pro

After doing three not bad videos with Vegas, I finally got my hands on a copy of Adobe Premiere Pro CS3, it's a lot smoother, and easier to work with. But at the same time, I need to re learn all the tricks I figured out on Vegas. Especially Masking. In the video I'm working on now. Masking is key so if you guys could help explain how. I'd appreciate it.

I don't know about CS3, but Premiere hasn't been all that great with masking in the past. I'd recommend masking in Photoshop, especially if you're planning on rotoscoping.

Theres an effect called garbage matte or something which can do some really basic masking. For anything complex though, Premiere really isn't suited for it.

Actually, I have After Effects CS3 too. But When I tried Masking in that like I did in Vegas, it came out crazy. Didn't work at all. If anyone knows how to mask using After Effects, that would help too.
