Premiere 6.5 QuickTime plug-in causing Premiere to crash!

This was a long, LONG set of events, however, I'll list them.

I started off with Premiere 6.5. Acquired Premiere Pro CS3, and said what the hell, why not. Installed it...didn't like it.

That was fine.

Then went to start a new project in 6.5, everything was fine. Loaded up a clip, went to apply the Quicktime effects plugin onto it and boom! Premiere crashes.

After that there were a series of events of uninstalling and reinstalling that caused me to actually have to acquire another copy of Premiere with a different install of QT that I then upgraded back up to the latest one.

It still doesn't work however. Try again and again, it won't allow me to apply the QT plugin.

I've uninstalled it, wiped it from the registry, reinstalled it, and even overwritten it by Nessephanie's QT plugin from her plugins folder. Nothing.

Anyone have a suggestion?
