Premiere Speed/Duration Problem

Post by Roguespider13 » Mon Feb 25, 2008 5:31 pm

First off, I'm using Premiere Pro 2.0.
I've cut a clip I want and am now trying to edit the speed/duration of it. When I specify a time for the duration (and I want it linked to speed) but when I enter it, it automatically sets it higher than I want (about 6-7 more frames than I want).

Extra Info: All clips are encoded in Lag codec, input video is 23.976 (premiere sees 29.98), and project is set to 23.976 fps. Also I had been working on the video before with incorrect codec and project fps (though it had no problem with speed/duration), so I started a new project with re-encoded video and correct FPS, though now I get this problem.

Maybe try using the rate stretch tool? It will let you stretch the clip exactly as long as you want it to be.

Thanks for the reply Zarxrax, though I just figured out it was my own stupidity. I was trying to make the clip 1sec 26 frames, well that worked fine one the previous project with it being 29.976 fps, but when I corrected the project it became 23.976 fps, therefore there is no 26th frame. That should have been obvious but thanks for the helps.
