Another Premiere Q...

Post by Shadow_Leaper » Wed Apr 02, 2008 8:56 am

Okay so i got the fading music fixed and now i just have a quick question. jerking video. once i slow a clip down to say...50% of its original speed it gets really jerky around every 29 secs..i know there was an option in 7.0 that would fix this, but im not sure where that would be in Premiere...

It's probably the function that deinterlaces the footage when the speed is less than 100%. I don't remember where it's located (probabkly in the preferences). Make sure it's DEactivated. You can use CTRL+A to select the whole timeline at once.

are you editing in 24fps progressive??? i'm using premere on 3 different systems and have no problems. It could also be your hardware isn't powerfull enough and is getting bogged down. What is your base system? maybe time for upgrade. Also try defrag on your hard drive. that and it could just be your hdd is running at a slower rpm than you need for editing. Any #of poss reasons but if you ask me it seems like its a hardware issue not software
