An old editor needs advice

Post by ooshna » Tue Apr 29, 2008 3:25 pm

Hey everyone no one probably remembers me but thats ok. Anyways its been a few years since I have made any AMVs and I used to used Adobe Premiere 6.02. I liked that version b/c it was pretty stable and still had the rubberband effect they later removed in Pro so what I am wondering is should I stick with 6.02 or should i move up to a newer version?

If it does everything you want, no reason to change.

Are you talking about opacity/volume bands? Because those are still there, even if they may be a little different (I actually don't know how different they are).

Either way, Zarx has a point.
... yea ...

Well its been a few years and was wondering if there has been anything going on with pro that 6.02 might not have. And yes those are what i'm talking about.

Pro does offer some advantages (improved motion, ability to do on-the-fly embedded sequences, etc.), but they're only advantages if you think you'd really use them. Otherwise, you might as well just stick with what you know if it works for you.
