but is there any way i can improve the quality of my videos when i use wmm

and now for an answer that's actually helpful

Read <a href=http://www.a-m-v.org/guides/avtech31/>ErMaC & AbsoluteDestiny's Friendly AMV Guides</a>. Technical...yes, but if you want better quality you're gonna have to get into the nitty gritty.
There are instructions on how to get the best output quality you can (from WMM), but as mentioned above if your video looks bad in the first place there isn't much help

i just want to enter into contests but i hear most wmm amvs cant be played on the big screens because of its low resolution

if you export in low resolution there can be a problem. But i think WMM is not the best programm for contests. And for the quality shit you have above the link to the guide.
