Ahh nevermind, I wound up uninstalling the old version of AMVapp I had and then installing the new one and when that didn't work, I spent a few hours trying yet again to find another video editor and wound up with VideoPad Video Editor (which I now loooove lol) but maybe you could post the answer anyone? In case someone in the future has the same problem as me

I have a few questions. I am a noob at this, just started working on my first AMV's. I'm using windows live movie maker, i know its a very crappy editor but it was the only one
that could take the format of the videos I'm working with. I'm in the process of cutting clips and was wondering could I transfer my progress over to a later version of windows movie
maker since i think its saving as a WMM project... I think?
Also, I would like to put effects, mostly just flashes. I was wondering how you going about that, just the flashes. Not sure which effect it is and how to put it into my movie.
