Help Please

Hi! *Waves* I'm new to the forums but I was hoping someone could maybe advise me on problems I am having with Windows Movie maker version 2. Every time I open the program it wither freezes immediately after I have opened it or like five minutes into my editing process. I am not sure what could be causing the program to freeze up but all help in remedying this problem would be greatly appreciated.
