I haven't EVER come across a limit on the number or size of clips importing into a WMM project.
50 episodes of kenshin in huffyuv going in all at once just took a long ass time, but it got there in the end (1.5 hours later XD).
seriously tho you system specs and codecs your editing in have alot to do with it crashing and at the end of the day WMM is still evil.
do not convert to wmv first just import the huffyuv .avi directly into WMM and save every few changes, ... there was this 1 video i did where i had to save and shutdown after every single change it took 6 fucking months to finish T_T and that was honnestly the last straw for me *hugs premiere pro*.
also you might want to make sure Haali media splitter in CCCP is not set to split .avi or any other container you are working with in your project.. it crashes WMM very quickly as soon as you save or drag/import clips

i don't have that option... i am using WMM v 2.0, not 2.1 that has the option and i don't know where to download 2.1 without the entire service pack2Rapture** wrote:I completely forgot 1 thing. Go to "Tools->Options->Compatibility" and find 'ffdshow video decoder' out there, and disable it(uncheck the box). That may help.axcx wrote:did i mention i'm only using 1 episode and it keeps closing, even if i have only 8 short clips in the timeline?
