Haalie Media Splitter: AVI: Top Level chunk is too short

Okay, I tried it again... Re-made this avi file thing using the script...

Tried importing it into WMM, WMM had to close.

Tried to play it in WMP, Windows Explorer had to close.

Tried to play it in RealPlayer, RealPlayer had to close.

It also took a something like 40 meg avi file and turned it into a 1 gig file! I can't actually tell how big the original file was because Windows Explorer keeps closing every time I look at an avi.

If the .avi is what? Is that huffyuv? and how did you set up the huffyuv when you saving the file?

It does happen this to me before, If I'm not mistaken after your saving the clips from Vdub your trying to import that in WMM, am I right? You can import the clips in wmm but there specific length wmm allowing and if you set up your clips before you saving it as avi sure it works and play.

Just want to be sure if you use huffyuv when your saving your file :?

Follow this how to config your huffyuv :)

and this one also just be sure you check the box before you saving your clips in Vdub before you import it in WMM.

Hope this will work for you

1. Go to your Video > Select Video Compression > click Huffyuv

2. Click the Configure

3. Another window appear Check the box it says > Always suggest RGB output, then your set and try to import that in WMM.

just noticed something
you're going to want to go into halli media splitter and turn off the option to split avi files

and yes, lossless files are big (hence lossless, it takes space to accurately store all that data)

How long of the clips are you encoding then?

If that is too big or too large surely it will close your program.

How many times you try to open or even import the encoded clips from Vdub? :?

Length of clips? I have 4 50 ep series in about 20 minute AVI files on disc. I had a friend make them from TV episodes, they're decent enough quality. And before you say something, No, The series is not on DVD. Yes, it's licensed, and it's looking very bad for DVD possibility. It's really my best bet.

Just tried importing again, and it closed. I don't even know how big a file it is.
